The Australian Classification Board reveals Tecmo Bowl coming soon

The Australian Classification Board has rated Tecmo Bowl for ‘multiple platforms’, giving hope that the classic American football franchise will be released locally soon.

What it doesn’t say is if this is a virtual console release of the original NES game or a remake similar to the 2010 Xbox 360 and PS3 release. The NES game was originally released on Virtual Console for the US back in 2013 for 3DS and 2007 for Wii.

Regardless, Nintendo wouldn’t pay to get something classified if they didn’t plan to release it, so sooner rather than later we’ll be seeing Tecmo Bowl.
