Warner Bros. uses Batgirl to address Batman: Arkham Knight “Season Pass” criticism

In an effort to address criticism of Batman: Arkham Knight‘s pricey — and vague — “Season Pass”, Warner Bros. has provided more detail on content offered within. Most notable is the inclusion of Batgirl as a playable character in a self-contained bit of story.

“Batgirl: A Matter of Family” will be a prequel story taking place in a new section of the city. From the image released (and shown in full below), it’s assumed you’ll be playing as Barbara Gordon, the original Batgirl. Gordon assists Batman throughout the Arkham games as her Oracle persona, wheelchair-bound as a result of an unfortunate encounter with the Joker.

Other content included in the pass is as follows:

  • “The Season of Infamy” includes new villains with story arcs, missions, and gameplay features.
  • “Gotham City Stories” focuses on Batman’s allies — Robin, Catwoman and Nightwing — in another prequel story
  • Additional Batmobile skins and various race tracks
  • Crimefighter Challenge Maps bring new challenge maps
  • Character Skins for all playable characters

Does the above change your opinion of the game’s “Season Pass”?

Batman: Arkham Knight is available from 23 June on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
