EA announce new Plants vs Zombies, Need for Speed games in shareholder reports

Nothing like a shareholder report to generate excitement about upcoming games. EA’s latest reporting has revealed new Need for Speed and Plants vs Zombies projects, and according to Polygon the future of Need for Speed will see games released for both console and mobile.

Australian developer Firemonkeys is developing the mobile game, already being tested in certain markets. EA also confirmed the new Plants vs Zombies game will be for consoles, hinting that it could expand upon the surprisingly entertaining Garden Warfare released last year.

Ghost Games have been working on a new Need for Speed game since it was announced the series would skip 2014 and it has always been expected that their game would arrive in 2015 so this isn’t exactly a surprise. We’ll undoubtedly hear more about both projects at E3 next month.
