Advent’s teaser site is being “hacked” to reveal new information

Earlier this week we reported on 2K’s teasing of dystopian, sci-fi title Advent.

Posts on Twitter and a teaser website gave a little information about the title, but not enough that we’re able to say with any certainty exactly what Advent is. However, since the launch of the website, things have started to get a little strange, with images and text being edited or replaced with “hacked” versions contradicting those posted by the mysterious Advent Corporation.

ADVENT-hackedThe image is above is only one example of the Advent site being “hacked.” Others include images of those who’ve given glowing testimonials about the company replaced with messages of how they’ve gone missing.

Text on the site reading, “hunger, pain, sickness, and war. We believe in a global community of happy and comfortable citizens,” has been addended with “The ADVENT is lying to you. They want to subdue and destroy us all.” Elsewhere, “Millions have started living the ADVENT way” is replaced with “Millions have gone missing the ADVENT way.”

While none of this gets us any closer to actually figuring out exactly what Advent is, it’s definitely piqued out interest. Advent may be the AAA game promised to be coming before 2016 by Take-Two back in May. We’ll likely know more at E3, so stay tuned.

What do you think Advent is?
