Halo Championship Series event cancelled due to matchmaking issues

343 Industries has made a big Esports push with the Halo Championship Series within Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Unfortunately technical issues have held them back from the conclusion of the HCS Cup this weekend, resulting in the cancellation of the event.

While recent patches have mostly fixed the matchmaking problems that plagued the game since release, it appears the planned Sunday events in the HCS Cup fell victim to technical problems with matchmaking after the Saturday games ran without incident. It provides yet more ammo for critics of the Master Chief Collection, which has become a poster child for the buggy state of new releases for current-gen consoles.
