Black Tusk’s Gears of War won’t be cross-gen; coming to Xbox One only

Black Tusk’s Jack Felling responded in the negative to a fan query on Twitter today about whether we’d see the next Gears of War on Xbox 360.

When asked if the in-development game would be released for Microsoft’s last-gen console, Felling categorically stated that it would not.

Felling also recently tweeted an image of an actor in mo-cap gear holding a massive firearm.

Details on the Black Tusk developed next installment in the Gears of War franchise are scant, but thanks to a tweet from Studio Head Rod Fergusson earlier in March, we know that Microsoft will be revealing more at E3 2015.

In the same tweet, Fergusson seems to dispel rumours of a re-release of Gears of War 1-3 saying “there’s no Marcus Fenix Collection.” He also says that Black Tusk are working on “exciting Gears projects” hinting at possibly more than just the current-gen sequel we’re aware of.
