Spencer: DirectX 12 will boost the Xbox One’s CPU, GPU performance

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said in a presentation at GDC that the upcoming DirectX 12 will boost the Xbox One’s CPU by up to 50%, and GPU by up to 20%.

DirectX 12 is currently scheduled to launch alongside Microsoft’s Windows 10. Both the Xbox One and Windows 10 will use DirectX 12.

A release date for DirectX 12 has not yet been set.
