Sling TV brings live streaming TV to Xbox One; one-month trial for Xbox Live members

Sling TV is now available for Xbox One (in North America) and is the latest in a long line of television streaming services to make their way to Microsoft’s current-gen console.

Joining the likes of Hulu, Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon Prime and others, Sling TV differs by offering live cable-TV as a package. Sling TV aims to bring the best of cable together for a cheaper price than found elsewhere is makes its console debut on Xbox One. The app is available free and offers Sling TV’s “best of live TV” core package, including; ESPN, Disney Channel, AMC, NBA, NFL, X Games, Adult Swim, TNT, TBS and more.

The $20 USD p/month core package can be supplemented with add-on packs like “Sports Extra”, “Kids Extra,” “News & Info Extra,” and “Hollywood Extra” which each cost $5 USD p/month. Additionally, subscribers will have access to a range of video-on-demand content.

Typically, Sling TV offers a one-week trial for new users, but Xbox Live members will receive 30 free days on downloading the app and signing up.
