Report: Microsoft working on the Gears of War Collection

Twitter user X-Rays, a self-proclaimed “industry insider”, has alleged that Microsoft is hard at work on the Gears of War Collection, a bundle of past Gears of War titles in the style of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The game is allegedly in development for a release on Xbox One.

X-Rays alleges that the game will release this year and will run in 1080p at 60 frames per second (fps).

The ‘insider’ also alleges that Black Tusk will not be working on the Collection. Black Tusk has been tasked with the development of the next instalment in the Gears of War franchise.

Another Twitter user has asked Xbox head, Phil Spencer, about the Collection. Spencer’s response isn’t surprising, though fans are taking the ‘non-denial’ as a confirmation.
