Game Informer today reports that Mad Max has been cancelled on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
The report continues on to say that the game will arrive on 1 September for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
We’ve heard very little else about Mad Max in a long while. In fact, we last previewed it back in 2013.
Warner Bros. is publishing the game. They also published Techland’s Dying Light, which also pulled last-gen support before its release.
Update: Warner Bros. Australia has now advised that Mad Max is set to launch in Australia on 2 September and in New Zealand on 3 September for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Moreover, they confirmed that those “who pre-order Mad Max will receive an additional Magnum Opus car body called ‘The Ripper,’ which packs a powerful V8 engine, upgraded exhaust with custom off-road tires, a ramming grill and a tuned suspension so it can take on a variety of Wasteland surfaces. Also revealed today was box art for the game.”
