#IDARB will come to PlayStation after Xbox exclusivity period ends, may include cross-play

#IDARB launched exclusively for Xbox One on 1 February as part of the ID@Xbox program and was featured on both February and March’s Games with Gold.

When questioned about the game coming to PlayStation by a fan on Twitter, one of the developers from Other Ocean (Mike Mika) responded in the affirmative, qualifying that it would come to PlayStation eventually. A 6-month period of exclusivity exists, after which time #IDARB will be released for PlayStation.

The fan also queried the possibility of cross-play, to which the Mika responded only with “maybe” and advised that adding the functionality into the game would require an investment of time. A separate fan queried whether more content would be coming to #IDARB on Xbox One. Mika said that more content is being worked on, but stopped short of confirming what it actually is. Based on the fan’s question it seems like more maps or modes (or both) are on the way.

#IDARB is available exclusively for Xbox One, but looks as though it will head to PlayStation sometime this year.
