Turkish minister: Minecraft will make your children okay with violence against people, animals

The Turkish family and social policies minister, Aysenur Islam, is definitely thinking of the children.

The BBC and Turkish site Leadergamer report that Islam is concerned about the effects of fantasy violence in Minecraft, and has ordered an inquiry into the game.

Specifically, Islam appears to be concerned that children will think it’s okay to hit other people and animals in real-life, as Minecraft allows it to happen in-game.

In Australia, Minecraft was issued with a PG rating, with the ACB citing mild violence.
