Without fanfare or announcement, Sony rolled out firmware update 2.04 for the PS4 yesterday, but for some users it immediately started causing headaches.
Designed to improve stability across network feature’s and the UI, the update weighs in at only 217MB, but a range of issues have been reported. On Reddit users note that their connection to the network is lost upon starting the download or receiving error codes CE-32937-4 and SU-30709-9.
Sony responded to the issues on Twitter and said it is “on the case.”
Update: Some players are reporting PSN issues — our engineers are on the case and investigating.

The official patch notes have not been published at this stage. I downloaded the update last night and aside from taking much longer than it should have and occasionally downloading at 0 kB/s my PlayStation 4 has been updated without issue.
Redditor FinnyV suggests that a temporary fix for the issue is to go to your PS4’s settings and selecting System Software Update rather than being prompted by the console when you attempt to connect to PSN.
