Hideo Kojima would like to see a HD remake of Metal Gear Solid

Talking with Famitsu (and translated by Dualshockers) at the Taipei Game Show, Hideo Kojima has expressed a desire to see a full HD remake of the original Metal Gear Solid.

Kojima denied that he has the time to oversee the project himself, but would like to see an open world Shadow Moses, the location of that first Playstation game, and believes that fans would too. I’d say he is right on that front.

It seems unlikely a man of Kojima’s stature and with his sway couldn’t get this done if he really wanted it. Perhaps he wants to oversee the project himself, but is busy on Metal Gear Solid V, or he just enjoys teasing the fans. Tease he has, a HD remake of Metal Gear Solid would be great, a full redesign of the game to be an open world, MGS V style experience would be absolutely fantastic.
