The Diversion: Katy Perry is going free-to-play

Katy Perry is about to get the Kim Kardashian treatment. Not the endless paparazzi and women’s magazine type, the video game type. Courtesy of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood developer Glu Mobile, Perry will soon be appearing in a mobile game of her own.

I would expect Perry’s game to be closer to a free-to-play celebrity simulation than a shark choreography simulator, so don’t get your hopes up for a Perry themed Elite Beat Agents or Theatrhythm quality rhythm title. I doubt the Katy Perry game will stretch too far from the surprisingly popular Kardashian: Hollywood experience, but chances are that won’t matter to fans of the singer.

If you want a 350 word description of Perry’s career among a couple of sentences of game information you can check out Glu’s press release here. A release date of late 2015 was announced.
