Capcom liked rebooting Dante in DmC: Devil May Cry and might do it again

If you thought fans were upset when Capcom first rebooted Devil May Cry’s Dante to a younger, dark-haired version of the character, imagine what they’ll do if Dante ends up being 50 years old in the next game.

Capcom producer Rey Jimenez likes the idea of playing around with Dante, saying that he’d enjoy an “older, wiser” take on the anti-hero.

“I’d push it [Devil May Cry] forward a few years,” he said in a recent interview on YouTube. “Lets get Dante in his late 40’s or 50’s. Lets get the Indiana Jones kinda adventure where he’s a bit older, wiser and calmer. See how he acts then, you know?”

There you have it. If Jimenez gets his way, we might see a Dante in a game resembling Uncharted more than it does DmC. What do you think of a change like that?
