Xbox One to PC streaming targets 1080p/60fps

Gamespot reports Microsoft Partner Director Mike Ybarra has confirmed the Xbox One to PC streaming service will be aiming to run at 1080p and 60 fps. In a group interview, Ybarra says the service currently runs in testing at 720p and 30 fps, but is expected to be full HD at the time of release.

While an ambitious target for home networks, with the importance placed on both full HD and 60fps gameplay this generation it is a necessary one. Personally I am more interested in the possibility of streaming the other way around, PC to Xbox One, but it is good to know that Microsoft aren’t compromising in their streaming service.

The launch date for Xbox One to PC streaming is currently ‘later this year’. You can read more about the service in our reports on the Windows 10 update earlier this week.
