Microsoft rolling out Master Chief Collection apology content

Last year, 343 took to Halo Waypoint to apologise to fans for the issues surrounding the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The post revealed that those who’d bought and played the game prior to 19 December 2014 would be gifted one month of Xbox Live Gold, an exclusive in-game nameplate and avatar.

Now, those players who qualify are finding that their accounts have been credited with the additional month promised. A message from Microsoft will confirm that the additional month has been applied.

343 are still working on fixing the match making issues that continue to plague The Master Chief Collection with a new post stating that a patch is “undergoing further testing, and will be available within the next few days.”
