At their Windows 10 event today, Microsoft and Lionhead Studios today confirmed that Fable Legends will be released on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Moreover, the game will be cross-play across the platforms.
“We think enabling people to play multiplayer games on Windows 10, across Xbox One and Windows 10, will unlock the potential of Xbox Live and grow social network that’s there today,” Xbox’s Phil Spencer said at the event.
Fable Legends will allow gamers to play in 4v1 contests across Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One in real time. The last time something like that was possible was early on in the Xbox 360’s lifespan with Shadowrun.
