Battlefield: Hardline’s open beta coming soon to PC and all consoles

Visceral and EA have revealed that Battlefield: Hardline’s impending open beta will be available across all platforms.

In a post on Battlefield’s website the announcement was made alongside other tidbits regarding the beta. Players will be able to participate in two modes across two maps. Hotwire and Conquest will be playable on Dust Bowl and Downtown. Hotwire is “an all-new mode coming to Battlefield focused on combining all-out warfare with all-out speed,” while Conquest is the standard 64-player Battlefield mode.

While playing the beta, players won’t hit a cap on progression and are free to keep leveling up and unlocking new guns, gadets and items to their heart’s content. The post reads “To be frank, we want you to play this beta to death. We need you to. This test is only going to make the game stronger, and help us take a look at ways we can ensure we deliver the most stable launch you deserve,” perhaps an allusion to Battlefield 4’s less than stellar launch.

The beta’s release date is still unknown, but like the full game will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
