Battlefield Hardline open beta date confirmed for all platforms

EA and Visceral have confirmed what we suspected yesterday and announced that the Battlefield Hardline open beta will be coming to all platforms (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One) 3 February.

Three modes across three maps will be available for those participating with Hotwire playable on both Downtown and Dustbowl, Conquest (up to 64 players – current-gen and PC only) playable on Dustbowl and Heist playable on Bank Job. As previously revealed, Hotwire sees the criminals trying to steal a series of marked cars while the cops attempt to recover them. Heist tasks the criminals with breaking into a bank vault and securing their loot across a series of drop points.

An additional mode called Hacker will be included in the beta. Hacker has one player on each team hacking electronics and surveillance equipment throughout the map to spot enemies and direct teammates to specific areas which require defense or to be attacked. Hacker is playable within all the main modes in the beta.

Finally, the beta gives access to the full scope of multiplayer progression included in the finished game. New weapons, gadgets, vehicles and gear will be on offer with players able to access and unlock it all.

Battlefield Hardline will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One 19 March.
