NetherRealm Studios working on mobile WWE game

Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios is partnering with Warner Bros. Interactive and the WWE to create a mobile free to play wrestling game, WWE Immortals.

Taking place in a “fantastically re-imagined WWE world” I would expect this game to be more along the lines of the old WWF Wrestlemania Arcade and WWF In Your House style than a traditional wrestling game, but considering how the old fashioned wrestling games are going this might not be a bad thing.

Not many details are known at this time, but Phosphor Game Studios is also on board. WWE Immortals will be available for both iOS and Android.
