Party members not engaging in ‘banter’ in Dragon Age: Inquisition are the result of a widespread bug

Dragon Age: Inquisition players have taken to BioWare and EA’s forums and Reddit to complain about the lack of companion ‘banter’ whilst playing.

In previous games, companions would engage in conversation with each other and the player character as the game progressed and should do so in Inquisition. Players have noticed however, that their companions remain silent for the duration.

According to a post on Reddit, Bioware is aware of the issue and is actively trying to correct the bug. It is even requesting players with over 60 hours of progress to share their save files so as to locate the root cause. It’s likely a patch will be issued once the problem has been rectified.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
