Titanfall update 8 adds horde mode amongst a myriad of changes

Titanfall, the game that just keeps on keeping on. Respawn announced via their Twitch stream and has since updated the official Titanfall site with details regarding update number eight.

The main addition coming with update eight is a co-op mode named Frontier Defense. Essentially a Titanfall take on Horde mode, Frontier Defense will be playable across all 24 maps and adds new enemies “Grunts and Spectres, stealthy Sniper Spectres and Cloak Drones, explosive Suicide Spectres and Nuclear Titans, ranged Mortar Titans, and even melee-resistant Arc Titans.”

Deadly Ground mode is also being added and is essentially the Titanfall version of ‘the ground is lava’ game. Playable in Hardpoint, CTF and Marked for Dead, Deadly Ground covers the floor in electrified fog meaning players have to stay off the ground to win.

Frontier Defense will be available tomorrow and Deadly Ground will land 6 November.

Along with the new modes and enemies, Respawn are adding a host of tweaks, changes and updates to the base game. Head to the website for all the info.

Titanfall is available for PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
