Nintendo of Europe has confirmed with Kotaku that they’ve just shed 320 jobs.
The layoffs are a result of the closure of Nintendo’s European headquarters and were completed by 31 August. 130 jobs were Nintendo employees, and an additional 190 positions were temporary, contracted positions.
The company noted there will be “an increase in outsourcing future translation and test activities to third-party companies on an as-needed basis.”
Our best wishes to those affected by the layoffs.
