PlayStation Network offline after DDoS attack

The PlayStation Network is currently offline, seemingly due to a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack that began early in the morning.

Shacknews came across the disruption first, adding that other services like World of Warcraft and League of Legends we’re also affected by DDoS attacks. Those services appear to have recovered.

Sony has confirmed they’re aware of the issue and are working now to resolve it.

The company has also taken to the PlayStation Blog to confirm that “no personal information has been accessed.”

We’ll let you know when the PSN is back up and running.
