BioShock available now for iOS

2K has today announced that Irrational’s 2007 masterpiece, BioShock, is now available on iOS devices via the App Store.

As a premium mobile game, BioShock is priced at $18.99 AUD and features the full original game, plus content from the Special Edition as well as new iOS exclusive features. Players will experience Rapture in the palms of their hands for the first time as well as having a new leaderboard system (through Game Center), in-app digital artbook and a new player profiling system to compare against your friends. The profiler will keep stats like enemies killed, weapons and plasmids used and the like.

BioShock was first released for PC and Xbox 360 in 2007 and was ported to PS3 in 2008. The iOS port has been handled by 2K China and is a universal app featuring support for iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5.

Is a man not entitled to play BioShock on his iPhone? ‘Yes’, says the man from 2K.
