YouTube, or rather its owner Google, has just purchased streaming service Twitch for $1 billion USD.
Venture Beat has reported the news, citing “sources familiar with the matter.”
Rumours began to swirl as early as May that the purchase was going to happen. It appears as if the transaction has now been finalised.
