Whilst remaining tight-lipped, Legend of Zelda Creator Shigeru Miyamoto has let slip that Nintendo’s got some super-secret ideas for a new iteration of the franchise on the 3DS.
At Nintendo’s Annual Shareholder’s Meeting, Miyamoto said the company will be “gradually changing the structure of The Legend of Zelda series,” citing The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds as an example.
“In addition to that,” he said, “we have ideas for Nintendo 3DS which we have not announced yet, so I hope you will look forward to them.”
If last year was Nintendo’s Year of Luigi, we may be in for the Year of Zelda next — Hyrule Warriors will be available on the Wii U this year, and a new, open world Zelda game was confirmed at this year’s E3.
