Mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood set to earn $200 million in 2014

Nope, that’s not a typo. The game based on being the friend of “celebrity” Kim Kardashian, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is expected to rake in $200 million USD according to analyst Doug Creutz in a discussion with Bloomberg.

“There’s no such thing as bad publicity, right? Obviously, Kim Kardashian’s brand has driven people to download the game. But at this point, the game has taken on a life of its own.” said Creutz. According to GameSpot, free-to-play phenomenon The Simpsons: Tapped Out made $100 million in one year while Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is set to double that figure in just six months.

Glu Mobile, developer of the title, has seen an increase of 44% in its share price since the launch of the game with sales of its games set to rise 52% this year, netting a profit of $160.5 million USD.
