EA Access gives you PS Plus-like access to some of their big games

EA today unveiled an exclusive Xbox One subscription service they call EA Access.

The service will let those who spend $5 USD a month, or $30 USD a year, get free rental access to specific EA titles including Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25 and Peggle 2.

EA Access members also receive 10% off digital Xbox One content — including the digital versions of titles like NHL 15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition — and early access on big titles by as much as 5 days prior to launch. That early access will only give access to a “limited” amount of the game, so don’t expect to finish a title before others can even play it.

EA Access isn’t for all titles either; Titanfall is “excluded from all EA Access features”. Furthermore, Xbox Live Gold is required for the program.

We’ve yet to confirm Australian availability and pricing.

Update: EA Australia has confirmed that EA Access will be available in this country. Subscriptions will cost $6.99 AUD a month or $39.99 AUD a year.
