Sony Santa Monica Studio teases God of War reveal at E3 2014

Sony Santa Monica Studio has taken to Twitter in the wake of a 4.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Los Angeles 1 June to tease a new God of War.

It’s been reasonably quiet thus far for Sony in the lead up to E3 and it seemed as though it was playing its cards close to the chest. A new God of War is not a huge surprise considering it’s one of Sony’s biggest exclusive franchises, but just exactly what Sony Santa Monica is teasing is unclear.

In February we reported that the studio had suffered layoffs which were rumoured to be related to a cancelled sci-fi game that was similar to Destiny. More exclusives for the PS4 can only be a good thing for the console, but whether we’ll see Kratos make a return or some new take on the series remains to be seen. We’ll likely know more after Sony’s media briefing 9 June.

What direction would you like to see God of War take?
