Jack Tretton returns to E3 2014 as an analyst for Spike TV

Former President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America Jack Tretton will return to E3 2014, but not onstage spruiking Sony’s latest efforts. He’s been charged with analysing the show as a special correspondent for Geoff Keighley’s All Access marathon 9 June on Spike TV.

Keighley announced Tretton’s special appointment via Twitter and was first reported by Kotaku. Tretton will be on hand with Keighley to analyse, dissect and give insight into Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and Sony’s media briefings. Coverage on the 9 June briefings will commence 12pm ET (2am 10 June AEST) and will run for 11 hours on Spike TV and embedded on a range of websites including Spike.com.

In a statement Tretton said, “Since I dropped the mic last year on Spike I thought it was only appropriate to pick it back up for E3 this year! I’ve been to every E3 but this year I’m excited to see the show through a different lens with the team at Spike. I’ll be watching the news and announcements unfold alongside the fans and the rest of the industry, and I can’t wait to see the new games that everyone is bringing to the table.”

Will you be watching live? Stevivor will be on hand at each media briefing, so stay tuned for updates.
