Dark Souls II “The Lost Crowns trilogy” DLC commences July

Dark Souls II will receive a trilogy of DLC content starting this July Bandai Namco announced today. Dubbed “The Lost Crowns trilogy”, the three pieces of DLC will feature all new environments, enemies and bosses.

The first of the three add-ons will be “Crown of the Sunken King” and will launch for PC and Xbox 360 22 July and PS3 23 July. “Crown of the Sunken King” sees players trying to reclaim King Vendrick’s crowns in an underground cavern filled with giant pyramids.

The two other pieces of DLC, “Crown of the Old Iron King” and “Crown of the Ivory King”, will launch 26 August and 23 September for PC and Xbox 360 respectively, coming a day later for PS3. “Crown of the Old Iron King” puts players in an enormous tower surrounded by a sorcerous black mist and tasks them with retrieving the Old King’s crown. “Crown of the Ivory King” features an ancient temple and freezing snow.

Players can purchase each part of the trilogy individually or on PC and PS3 can opt to take part in the Season Pass program. The Season Pass is available from today and costs $26.99 USD on Steam. PS3 pricing has not yet been announced.

Dark Souls II is available now on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
