It appears that Sony may be gearing up to release new models of the PS3 and PS4. Two listing have been lodged by Sony with the Indonesian Ministry of Communications that hint that new models may be in the works.
The first listing is for model number CUH-1106A which is distinct from the Asian PS4 model number CUH-1006A. It’s been suggested by Dualshockers that it could mean that Sony are working on a revision to the PS4 hardware. The site notes that if it is a new model it will not include a larger hard drive as that is dictated by the final digit of the model number and is unchanged.
The second listing is for PS3 hardware with model number CECH-4306CH. The PS3 Super Slim has model number CECH-4001A and as the new model number appears to follow the same pattern it suggests that this PS3 may be a hardware revision of the Super Slim.
