2K Sports announced today that Oklahoma City Thunder’s small forward Kevin Durant would be the cover star for NBA 2K15. Durant is the 2013-2014 NBA season’s MVP so the cover status is most fitting.
Durant will appear on the game’s cover from 7 October in North America and 9 October in Australia and New Zealand. On his selection Durant said, “I’m honored to be selected for the cover of NBA 2K. I’ve been an avid fan and player of NBA 2K since I was a kid, and being selected as the sole cover athlete of NBA 2K15 is an amazing accomplishment at this point of my life. I feel like my time has come.”
NBA 2K14 — featuring cover star LeBron James of the Miami Heat — was released for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in October and November 2013. In his review Shane wrote, “This version of the game is finally what I have wanted from a 2K game for the last few years. If this is the first effort in the new generation I cant wait to see what improvements the team can make over the coming years.”
NBA 2K15 will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 9 October.
