Report: Microsoft also working on a virtual reality device

The Wall Street Journal today reports that Microsoft is also hard at work on its own 3D virtual reality device.

Citing “people familiar with the project”, the WSJ reports that Microsoft has even gone so far as to file a patent for the project.

The technology is allegedly being developed alongside a project called “Fortaleza,” which means “fortress” in Portuguese. The report states that Fortaleza will bring a “suite of experiences unique to Microsoft’s Xbox products.

We’ll report further on this rumour as we learn more.
