Good Old Games to charge regional prices for three future releases

In a news post, Good Old Games has announced that it plans to offer regional pricing for three upcoming games. The move is part of the retailer’s bid to attract more launch day pre-orders and in turn secure additional launch day releases to supplement the back-catalogue of retro games currently on offer.

Due to a non-disclosure agreement GOG is unable to reveal the games that will use regional pricing, but has confirmed two of them are RPGs while the other is a strategy game. GOG compared the regional pricing for these three games as similar to what it offered for The Witcher 2 across North America, Europe and Australia. As GOG only accepts USD the prices charged will be adjusted to reflect local pricing.

Once we have confirmation of the three games on offer we’ll be sure to let you know. It remains to be seen if customers will be able to purchase the games for cheaper by selecting a region other than their own. Customers may also be able to bypass classification restrictions by purchasing from another region, much like how Australians currently purchase content from Steam.
