Sony announced today that the Share button on the DualShock 4 controller has been pressed some 10.9 million times by users since the PlayStation 4 launched this month. In addition, Twitch and UStream have hosted around 800,000 PlayStation 4 gameplay streams and had 7.1 million spectator sessions.
According to Sony, PlayStation 4 streams have accounted for 10 percent of all of streams on Twitch in the month of November, based on minutes per broadcast. That roughly adds up to around 20 million minutes of PlayStation 4 Twitch streaming. Sony also revealed that UStream broadcasts from PlayStation 4 average 31 minutes.
This follows last week’s announced the PlayStation 4 had sold over 2.1 million units worldwide since launch. Twitch told Joystiq since the launch of PlayStation 4 its number of broadcasters had increased by over 100,000 in November, up from 600,000 in October.
