In Batman: Arkham Origins it’s not who you are underneath, but the alternate costumes that define you

First posted on Reddit — and subsequently reported by Gameranx — is an image which cleverly puts together every revealed and leaked skin for Batman: Arkham Origins thus far.

The skins pictured are (from left to right and top to bottom):

Batman:

  • Batman: Arkham Origins – standard appearance in game;
  • The Dark Knight Returns – from the Frank Miller story of the same name;
  • The Animated Series – based on the 1990s cartoon series;
  • Batman: Arkham City – appearance from Arkham City;
  • Batman Inc.  – from the comic series of the same name;
  • Earth One – based on the graphic novel series;
  • Neal Adams – based on the 1970’s Batman drawn by artist Neal Adams;
  • Year One – appearance from Frank Miller’s origin story;
  • Sinestro Corps – based on a New 52 arc in which Sinestro attempts to recruit Batman;
  • D.C. One Million – based on a crossover storyline set in the 853rd century;
  • Worst Nightmare – how villains see the Batman;
  • Long Halloween – Batman’s appearance in the graphic novel;
  • ThrillKiller – based on the ThrillKiller universe version of Batman;
  • Earth-Two – appearance in the Earth-Two alternate universe;
  • Dark Knights of The Roundtable – an alternate universe in which Batman is a knight under King Arthur;
  • First Appearance – based on Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), Batman’s first appearance;
  • Adam West – based on the 1960s live action series;
  • Azrael – Jean-Paul Valley, who became Batman in the 1980s storyline Knightfall.

Death Stroke the Terminator includes an additional storyline and missions.

Robin is depicted as Time Drake in Arkham Origins, unless otherwise stated:

  • Classic – Robin’s standard appearance;
  • Arkham Origins – his default appearance in the game;
  • 2000’s – based on Robin’s costume from the noughties;
  • Red Robin – Tim Drake’s current appearance in Teen Titans;
  • Arkham Origins Alternate Costume – a variation on the default appearance;
  • The Animated Series – Dick Grayson as he appeared in the 1990s cartoon, prior to becoming Nightwing; and
  • Arkham City – Robin’s appearance in the previous game.

While there are certainly a tonne of costumes to choose from it seems odd to omit New 52 and Nolan trilogy costumes, but to be fair they’ll probably appear as DLC.
