Giant Sparrow – developer of awesome indie PS3 exclusive The Unfinished Swan – sort of announced their next game on their blog. Originally announced as Edith Finch, the developer then backpedaled and announced the game as Unfinished Giant Sparrow Project.
I get the feeling these guys like the word “Unfinished” a little too much. While they maintain that there is no release date or platforms for the new title we can be pretty sure the game will be exclusive to the PS3 or PS4 as Giant Sparrow has a three game deal with Sony and currently reside in their Santa Monica offices.
Giant Sparrow said of the “sort-of announcement”, “When you make games about evoking a sense of discovery and wonder the publicity part of it is a little tricky. If we don’t say anything then no one knows the game exists, but if we talk about it too much then no one is going to be surprised when they actually play it.”
