This weekend, Capcom and Valve announced a joint Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project, which will see characters from each franchise invading the other’s game on the PC.

Left 4 Dead 2 four survivors – Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle – will be playable in Resident Evil 6‘s PC-exclusive “The Mercenaries: No Mercy” mode. Additionally, the Witch and the Mini Tank will also feature in the game mode as undead oppontents. Each of the four survivors will receive their own special loadout to take on the zombie horde. The new characters will be delivered to the PC version of Resident Evil 6 in an update to be released 5 April.

Over in the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2, three Resident Evil 6 baddies — Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman — will join the ever-expanding cast of special infected. Look for that free update this Autumn.
