So, Disney Infinity is set to star Disney characters, and Disney now owns the Star Wars and Marvel universes. Does that mean we’ll see Star Wars and Marvel characters in Disney Infinity?

Maybe.

Speaking with Polygon, Avalanche Software CEO John Blackburn said, “I hope so!” when presented with a wishlist of Luke Skywalker and the Avengers for inclusion into the upcoming game.

“As a developer, I so want that,” he continued. “When Disney bought Lucasfilm, I was like, ‘Holy crap! This is awesome!’ But at this point in time, there’s been some discussions about that, there’s just been no decisions made.”

Blackburn also said that there doesn’t appear to be anything preventing Star Wars and Marvel characters to be included in the game, but the ultimate decision on who makes the cut comes down to which characters are both lovable and “game-able.”
