NHL is back, and so is the NHL GameCenter app for Xbox 360, PS3, mobile devices

FINALLY, we’ve got some NHL hockey again! Let’s just forget the fact that Steve’s favourite team, the Detroit Red Wings, went down 6-0 in their first game back.

The release of an Xbox 360 app means that you can use the NHL GameCenter service over 360, PS3, iOS and Android. NHL GameCenter allows subscribers to watch up to 40 out-of-market games a week, and one subscription lets you use any number of devices.

The new Xbox 360 app also lets you control in-app videos with hand gestures and voice commands using Kinect.

NHL GameCenter is available for $52 for the shortened 2012/2013 season. If you wanting to use the service on Xbox 360, you’ll also have to have a “Gold” subscription… or, you know, you can just use the service without a secondary subscription on any other listed device.
