Now, before we get going on this one: if you don’t want to see potential spoilers for season three of AMC’s The Walking Dead, stop reading. NOW.*
Still with us? Good.
Activision today announced that Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker will be reprising their respective roles as Daryl and Merle Dixon in the upcoming The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Moreover, “in the game, players assume the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon,” Activision also confirmed.
A first-person survival experience, the game is set before the events of the AMC show, and follows Daryl and his brother Merle as they try to reach Atlanta during the initial zombie outbreak.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be available in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
*Yeah, we know the game is set before the show, but with what’s going on in season three right now, it’s better to be safe than sorry, right?
