Early this morning, NetherRealm confirmed the latest combatant in Injustice: Gods Among Us with the help of Entertainment Weekly. Give a big hello to Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow.

Entertainment Weekly’s PopWatch column got to do the big reveal… and we’re assuming that’s because we’re soon set for a new TV series featuring the character. Hey, tweenagers need their DC fix on the CW now that Smallville‘s over, am I right?

Whilst Arrow – the TV show — and the new DC 52 Universe feature Green Arrow as a youthful, brash millionaire playboy, Injustice seems to be going with a pre-52 Green Arrow: grizzled and broody. Appearance-wise, at least.

As you can see in this trailer, it’s safe to assume Green Arrow is classified as a “gadget” character along the lines of Batman, Nightwing and Flash.

    Played this at EBExpo…pretty average gameplay tbh…feels 10-15 yrs out of date….very 2 dimensional.
