Are you ready to whip out your celestial brush one more time? The HD re-release of Ōkami is imminent and by imminent I mean tomorrow.
PlayStation 3 owners will be able to download the critically acclaimed from tomorrow. The game’s Sumi-e style graphics were highly praised on release for the PlayStation 2 and now with an HD makeover they are truly eye-popping. Ōkami HD will also support the PlayStation Move and will feature trophy support.
If you missed it on the PS2 or the Wii, now’s you’re chance to experience a true classic from last generation. Players take on the role of Amaterasu – the Japanese sun goddess – who takes on the form of a wolf. Following the attack by a monster that transforms the world into a wasteland, she must use her magical powers to restore the land to its former self and return life and colour to the world.
You can see how pretty the game looks in motion for yourself in the launch trailer.
Pricing for the US PlayStation Store has it at $19.99 so we can likely expect something in that region here in Australia.
I own this on my PS2 and my Wii and I’ll definitely be picking it up for a third time, it really is that good. Who else is grabbing it?
