A “season pass” for Assassin’s Creed III was announced this week along with some of the additional content you can look forward to over the next six months. Five content packs are being planned, with three of them dedicated to an episodic single player campaign entitled “The Tyranny of King Washington”, set in an alternate history following the events of the revolutionary war.
“History is our playground – and AC teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period,” said Sebastien Puel, Executive Producer at Ubisoft. “While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.”
In addition to the single play DLC, Ubisoft have promised new maps and characters the add to the multiplayer experience.
All season pass content will be released within six moths of launch and by purchasing the pass you will save 25% of the cost of purchasing all of the packs individually. Not only that, but season pass owners will gain access to the first DLC one week before everybody else.
Assassin’s Creed III will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 31 October, PC 22 November and Wii U 30 November.
