Dust off your engineer’s cap as Train Simulator 2013 has been given a September release date.
If you’re into transport simulators, you won’t want to miss this one. The sequel to the multi-award-winning Train Simulator 2012 is set for a global release via Steam on 20 September this year. The game will let you drive trains from multiple eras on routes from around the world and create your own content.
The developers, Railsimulator.com, have promised a more immersive experience, featuring gameplay and environments designed to make you feel like you’re in a control of an actual train. This includes great new content with detailed locomotives and routes with improved weather effects. CEO Paul Jackson had this to say:
“The huge community that has developed around this game is incredibly productive, and they have great ideas for new content that can be created. The integration of Steam Workshop allows them to express their vision and easily share it with other users. The all new multiplayer Relay Play will allow friends anywhere in the world to join forces to complete scenarios. Advances in control options and menus will make the experience more accessible to newcomers while offering enhanced and more immersive gameplay to everyone.”
You’ll also be able to control your locomotives using an Xbox 360 controller with USB peripheral. In addition, Steam Workshop will be integrated, allowing you to create and share content with other players.
