Now that I’ve got to throw in one of the cheesiest headlines of all time, my work at Stevivor is complete. Not really, but anyway. Rap heavyweight “Jay-Z” has partnered up with with the top-selling sports series and its latest iteration.
Serving as the Executive Producer on 2k Sports’ latest installment, Jay-Z is not only hand picking the unique soundtrack, but is also driving the “artistic vision and style” of the experience.
“This has been a unique opportunity to collaborate with 2K Sports and be a part of one of the best sports video games in history,” he said. “NBA 2K13 will be the next evolution in sports and basketball culture, and I’m ready to usher in the new era of the franchise.”
The 24 track strong audio palette includes a plethora of hits (including six of his own tracks), and everyone knows basketball is only as cool as the bass filled tracks playing alongside it, right?
